Shopping for back-to-school supplies, clothes, and the latest and greatest gear is the best part of this time of year…for your kids. For many parents though, it becomes a time for spending too much money and wondering exactly what you got for going over budget.

1. Focus on end of season sales
Your kids will be able to wear short sleeve tops well into the Fall season, so hit up those end of summer sales and take advantage of the deals. The Lehigh Valley Mall is a perfect place to start since there are over 110 stores, many of which have back-to-school sales.
2. FREE hair cuts anyone?
No child should have to start a new school year without a new haircut! Visit the JCPenny Salon at the Lehigh Valley Mall for free haircuts for any kid in Kindergarden through 6th grade for the entire month of August!
3. Look for vision specials

4. Team work saves you money
Round up your neighbors and other parents you know and swap back-to-school clothes. It never fails that as soon as you buy a new wardrobe for your child they sprout up another inch. Chances are the other parents you know are in the same situation, so just trade!
5. Shop at discount stores
The Lehigh Valley has such a large variety of places to shop that are known for being less expensive than big-name stores. Try stores like Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Maxx, Big Lots, and consignment stores.
