The Lehigh Valley is home to an array of events for children and their parents, as well as seniors, singles, and couples. From walking, biking, reading, and swimming to indoor activities such as visiting the local YMCA and the Crayola Factory, the Lehigh Valley has something for everyone!
This Saturday, May 22, bring your children to the Easton Farmers Market for their first annual bike day. This event was created to teach children about bicycle safety!

Activities include a basic skills course; bicycle safety checks with a mechanic; demo bikes to test rides; helmet fittings and helmet giveaways; bike & helmet decorating contest; group bike rides for adults & children over 10; farmers’ market Rainbow scavenger hunt; bike safety arts & crafts in N. Bank Street Alley; a special bike ride with Mayor Sal Panto and live music.
Bank Street Band will perform 9:30 to 11 a.m. and the Deadliners will perform 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This Sunday’s weather calls for clouds and rain, so take advantage of it and visit the Crayola Factory for the final weekend of the special dinosaurs on display!
The items include a replica of the actual death pose of a clawed Struthiomimus dinosaur; a replica foot of a duck billed dinosaur; a replica foot of a Tyrannosaurus Rex; a replica of a Stuthiomimus sedens and a fleshed out specimen of a Veloceraptor.
Summer session at the YMCA and YWCA starts June 1 and continues through July 17. A second summer session will be held from July 19-September 4. A YMCA membership includes the use of the wellness center, weight room, gym, sauna, steam room, and showers. Also offered is a FREE child’s watch and FREE fitness classes for members.
