Musikfest is a music festival held each August in Bethlehem since 1984 and features hundreds of free entertainment over the course of the event. Musikfest is presented by Arts Quest, a non-profit arts organization founded to celebrate the arts and culture in the Lehigh Valley. The proceeds from the event proudly benefit groups such as the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, as well as other non-profit groups throughout the Lehigh Valley.
This year Musikfest extravaganza is held from August 6-15 and will feature over 500 musical performances on over 14 indoor and outdoor stages. In addition, over 60 vendors will offer different kinds of food and desserts. Bring your children for the amazing collection of children’s activities and to see the visual arts and crafts by their makers. Here is the Daily Schedule for all of the events happening this year at Musikfest.
This year, The Lehigh Valley Health Network is offering the chance to win 2 tickets to a 2011 RiverPlace Performance of your choice, with a meet and greet session with the artist (pending artist approval).
Stop by one of our health tents (not including RiverPlace) to get a pedometer and return it once you’re finished “festing” for the day. If you walk a lot, you may win a prize!
Pedometers will be available every day of the festival starting Aug. 7. The contest will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. for the daytime crowd, and from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for the evening crowd. The pedometers will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Each night of the Musikfest celebration brings a different artist or group to perform at the largest of its venues, Sands RiverPlace.
