Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 20, and what better way to celebrate than to take dad to the 31st Annual Antique Truck Club of America Truck Show in Macungie, Pa. The event runs from June 18-20 and is held at the Veteran’s Memorial Park. Hundreds of antique trucks are on display and for sale, and the Flea Market will have food and craft vendors.
Friday night kicks off the truck show with live music and fun for all ages! On Saturday, Mack Trucks will offer tours of the Macungie Assembly Operations Plant, with round trip transportation from the truck show at Memorial Park.
People come from all over to not only display their antique trucks but to sell them as well. Over the past 30 years, this event has grown from a few trucks on display to the hundreds that will be shown this weekend. The Antique Truck Club of America is proud of its organization of people and the efforts they take to make an impact on their community. They are also proud of the goals and objectives put in place:
•Stimulate and cultivate interest in the restoration, preservation and operation of antique commercial vehicles, as well as the the use and history of these vehicles.
•Promote appreciation by the public for the history and development of antique commercial vehicles.
•Foster a spirit of friendliness and cooperation among club members and the general public.
•Establish, develop, and maintain a library of materials on antique commercial vehicles available to members for education, restoration, and scientific and historical purposes.
